I want to get my tongue web pierced but my webbing is very small, will it still work?

Please don't try and talk me out of it, because I really want to do it and I'm old enough.
I want to get my tongue web or also know as the frenulum of the tongue, but mine is VERY small. Can I still get it pierced, or no?

Mine was small and I got it but I wouldn't recommend getting it.The piercing doesn't hurt but it ends up always sore.I had to take it out.I had it about 4 or 5 months.It made it feel like my tongue web kept twisting.Most people end up taking it out so I wouldn't get it.

got mine done a week ago & LOVE it! feels freaky at first, but it's all cool now.

Just ask your piercer, i'm sure it's fine, but still check- I 've got a big frenulum, lil' tounge tied apparently, but it's never affected my speech.
