So I've been trying to get rid of my acne for 4 almost 5 years now. And it's never left. I don't know how to get rid of my acne and the scars it leaves behind. I've tried Clean and Clear, Clear-a-sil, equates, Tea tree oil [But stopped using it after using it 2ce because of its rancid smell],and 2 types of acne treatment recommended by my dermatologist. Nothing has been working. At the moment I've been using Clear-a-sil, And I've been using it for a while now but now all of a sudden my skin looks baggy and wrinkly. Why? It used to just happen when I put on a moisturizer but now because of the Clear-a-sil product. I've never had this issue with this product before. Why? And what actually does work?

I'm having the same problem as you since I went off my birth control that kept my skin clear. Over the years, I have tried around 10 different products and nothing really worked (I tried Clearasil and Clean and Clear too)...As of now, I am using a mixture of Oxy Maximum Action Advanced Acne Treatment (for washing my face in the morning and night) and right before bed, I spot treat my most noticeable acne with AcneFree Severe Terminator 10 Acne Spot Treatment. Both of these things have significantly reduced my acne and from time to time I also do an AcneFree Therapeutic Sulfur Treatment mask on my face (this reduces the size of your pores, helps reduce the appearance and size of acne). All of these treatments I've just started within the past few weeks or so, so I can't tell yet if they are going to be long term solutions, but so far they have greatly reduced my acne and kept new acne from appearing. The only catch with all of these acne treatments is that if you have delicate/sensitive skin or use any of these too often, it can dry out your skin really easily and leave it flaky and peeling. Hope this helps!

believe it or not, pro-activ really does work. I've been using it for a year now. I used to have bad acne all over my forehead. after a few weeks it was completely cleared up.

I know you mentioned seeing a dermatologist, but that's what you should do. You might need prescription medication and whatever else they might recommend. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.
