Why would someone dump you because of your skin colour?

Im a mixed raced latina with pale white skin, ive been with my bofriend for 5 months he is always makin me feel insucure about my appearance, where as everyone i know is always telling me how pretty i am and i get alot of attention from men all the time i have even been stopped in the street by model agencys quite a few times, i dont really know what to believe cos i dont think im anything special
but my boyfriend jus broke up with me because he said he couldnt find my skin colour attractive and that he didnt like it and it puts him off me but he claims there is nothing else wrong with me apart from being pale, he is of turkish ethnicity and is quite brown skinned, i begged him not to break our relationship up over that and he has agreed to stay with me if i tan myself, i have agreed too.
what i wanna kno is, is pale skin that disgusting to people and off putting?
and why would he do this?

So you are a white latina and your turkish boyfriend doesn't like your pale akin. That is no problem. That is no love for you. His love is only "skin deep". However, you need a big confidence. White is beautiful so are latinas. Don't give your boyfriend the pleasure of running you down because he is the one with a problem. You can tan yourself but he can't undo his.



Don't beg for his love he is not worth begging for. Try and be happy with the way you are. Being a model doesn't last for a long time either.

Pale skin is lovely and people put others off because of their skin colour because they are insecure.



Don't worry about yourself. Pale, dark, yellow, any skin colour can be equally beautiful or horrible to others depending on your taste or upbringing. I don't know what else to tell you but, forget your boyfriend's opinion. Keep yourself lovely and enjoy your life for what you are not the colour of your skin.

My question is why would you beg a guy who constantly put you down to not leave you? You don't deserve that, regardless of what your skin color is.



Don't ever change who you are to make someone else happy. If he's of Turkish descent my best guess is that he's getting a lot of pressure from his family to find a Turk girl to date, so he figures if your complexion appears darker maybe you'll be more acceptable. That's total crap. If he wants a dark complected woman he should go find one and not be such a shallow jerk and ask you to tan. And you should be a strong, self-respecting woman and not go tan just so he won't put down your appearance all the time.



What will you do when the tan no longer pleases him and there's something else about your appearance or personality that bothers him? How much of your body are you willing to sacrifice to make this controlling, abusive jerk happy? You'd be better off without him and finding someone who sees your beauty for what it's worth and doesn't ask you to change a thing.

Tianna, you should be more confident in yourself. Forget what he says. He is not your husband. I understand that you want to satisfy your BF but when he met you I am definitely sure he saw your skin color. I feel like he is only looking for lame excuses not to be with you. Think about it. Sounds like he's making an excuse to break up with you. It's one thing to not find a certain type of person attractive (whether its to prefer blonds over brunettes or tan over fair skinned). Some people just don't like mixing race. I'm Caucasian and I would never date, esspecially marry and have kids with an african american, or a mexican, or asian, or any other race. No, I'm not racist.
