Aloe Vera is more for burns and that sort of thing. I suggest either Palmer's cocoa butter or a different product altogether, called bio oil which is very good for scarring. But if it is a choice between aloe vera and cocoa butter, try the butter.

Cocoa butter. I had a surge on my neck....and the docs had me rub a stick of cocoa butter on every day and it smooths out the skin and makes the scar look like normal skin as soon as a week! It also moisturizes your skin so I use it a lot!

Cocoa Butter all the way! Palmer's is a very good brand... It helps to smoothe over the scar and make it a lot less visible.

Aloe vera helps the healing process of cuts, scraps, burns, etc... Coco Butter helps way better with scaring, if you wanna go natural. Other wise use a bleaching cream easily prescribed by any dermatologist.
