Question:
Which fake tan, how to etc?

I have no experience what so ever with fake tan so I need all the help I can get! On Tuesday I'm going to town so I will hopefully be purchasing a fake tan, but which one I have no idea!? I am very pale and I have no idea on how to apply it correctly without looking orange and which one to get seeing as I don't want to buy one then turn out really dark because that wouldn't suit me - I just want a light tan.
I have no idea which is the best tan to buy and I don't have a lot of money. Do you need to apply it to your face or not - surely if you do I then need to buy a darker shade of make-up?
See I'm pretty clueless :]
Help would be very much appreciated,
Thank you in advance!

St Tropez is very good but takes a bit of hassle doing but seeing as you only want a light tan I'd go with one of the tinted moisturisers like Dove or Johnston's.They have one for fairer skinned people.Just apply all over, face too, after your dried off from your shower. When you do knees, heels and elbows apply some normal moisturiser first then the tinted one as these areas soak up the tint and you can get dark patches.wash your hands well when finished using a nail brush on your palms.then using a tissue reapply a little to backs of your hands. When applying the tinted moisturiser use a circular motion and rub in well.

You can build the colour up over a few days.

St. Tropez is the best!!! I have tried everything and would get frustrated at the orange-y look and just go back to the tanning bed until I discovered St. Tropez. It is awesome. Pour some in your hand and then pour in body lotion, lather it up and then apply all over your body right after you get out of a shower or bath.. it is immediate, natural and smells good, too!

Clarins have a good range of self tans try their self tan gel, This is really easy to apply. I am a beauty therapist so i have tried loads, remember just to moisturise your knees, elbows, ankles before you apply the tan and just make sure you rub it in well. With everything to get it right it just takes practise.Fake tan is so much better quality from what they used to be good luck.

spray on tans (like loreal subline bronze self tan mist) are much better than the cream ones you rub on because they always come out in streaks, if your going to put a tan on your face use a moisturiser with a gentle tan, if you have enough money then i would definatly get you rebel by benefit, its a moisturiser with a light tan and you dnt need makeup if you but that, it costs around £15.

the Dove Summer Glow fake tan and moisturiser is good for a light tan if you're pale. Make sure you keep your fingers together when you spread it round to avoid streaks and wash your hands after!
